Virus Outbreak: New Worm Attacks Media Giants

A new virus epidemic, caused by Zotob malware, has broken out this weekend affecting networks of major companies such as CNN, Associated Press, The New York Times and Caterpillar. Currently, at least five versions of Zotob worm, known as Rbot.cbq, SDBot.bzh and Zotob.d have been unleashed. The virus poses the most serious threat to Windows 2000 users; although it may run on computers that use Windows 95/98/ME/NT4 operation systems, such computers are not affected. more...
